Images: Making a mosaic from a single photo

Modified on Mon, 11 Feb, 2019 at 12:04 PM

To fragment a single image into a grid, first add the image to the canvas. Select it then access the Split tool from the right-side options.

Specify the number of columns and rows, then hit Apply.  Your image will appear as a mosaic.

The image itself has not been cropped - each frame holds a complete copy of the original image, perfectly positioned. You can apply image, border and shadow effects to each frame separately.

Adjust the inter-frame spacing control before applying the splitter to move the frames closer together or further apart.

NOTE: Use the Split tool can make interesting backgrounds or to add photos as decorative elements on your page. Do not use the Split tool to create grids for portrait layout. This should be handled by adding a composite frame.
