Creating a multi-image template

Modified on Wed, 31 Jan 2024 at 03:04 PM

If you have imported an index file what contains more than one photo per record, you can then create a portrait template that will support the use of both photos on your composite grid.

In the following example, a simple index has been imported including student photos and their baby photos. Pictured below - the images before import in the Windows file manager.

After import, both sets of images are available under the Index tab, using the Source box to switch between both sets.

To use both sets of images in a composite grid, create a grid on the Editor's Layout tab, applying a portrait template. Choose Edit under the Portrait Template to customize it.

Once launched in the portrait template editor, select the single portrait image - note how it points to the Default source.

Add a second portrait image frame.

Select the second portrait frame, and change its source.

Customize the template as desired, then Save As a new template.

The Editor's Layout tab will refresh your composite grid to show the new template.

Click the Generate Composite Set button to apply the images to the template. The two sets of images will be applied into the template. on the Composite set ant Page tabs.
