How to fix a composite frame blocked by other elements

Composite frames work on a principle of best fit - they are designed to fit the maximum number of portraits into the designated area based on your query.

They are also designed to move portraits away from other elements on the page that block them. When you add an image, text or shape frame to your canvas that overlaps your composite, it will shift the portraits away from it. 

Occasionally this results in the composite frame no longer having the space to add all the portraits in the constrained area.

When this occurs, the composite frame will prompt you to FIX it - so it can accommodate all the portraits in the designated query.

Option 1: Fix the composite frame

If you don't want to change the position of the non-composite frame, then click FIX in the middle of the composite frame.
The composite frame will reflow the portraits so they fit into the allotted space. Note that you may need to adjust the other elements on the canvas after fixing the grid.

Option 2: Turn off occlusion in the non-composite frame

If you want the grid to remain exactly as it is, select the image frame. The General Layout option will appear on the left side - turn off occlusion.

The selected frame will sit on top of the gridl, not impacting its layout. Note that this will result in one or more portraits and/or labels being hidden under the photo.

You may need to move the selected frame behind the composite frame, using the Arrange Tool, so all the portraits are visible.
